Since the Society was established in September 2000 they have researched and recorded a vast amount of material, which although not yet displayed on this site, could be made available by request. We currently hold a collection of in excess of 600 pictures of `Old Monifieth`Details and pictures of the Monifieth Foundries. Very little has been `written down` regarding Monifieth, however, the formation of the Society has uncovered oral details of `The Butter Boat`, The Monifieth Tramway Service, The Terraces, Poddlie Raw, Dr James Gerard Young.
